Studio Policies for In-Person/Online Lessons
2023–2024
Studio Schedule – Lessons will take place every week from September 5st – May31. Below you will find dates where there will be no scheduled lessons:
- November 21-26: No Lessons Thanksgiving
- December 18 – 31: No Lessons Christmas
- January 1 – 7: No Lessons for New Years’ Break
- March 25-31: No lessons for Easter

Books, Instrument, & Other Materials
Books: A list of required books based on your child’s level will be emailed to you for purchase. All books are available through online retailers.
Materials: Please have the following for online lessons:
- Acoustic or weighted piano
- Metronome (mechanical, electronic, or through an app)
- Binder
- Previous method books (for review, continuation, etc. as appropriate)
Missed Lessons/Cancellations: Lessons are given weekly during assigned lesson time with the exception to school breaks. Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons in the spring and fall semesters. Tuition and enrollment fees are non-refundable and makeup lessons are not scheduled. Please plan lesson times and social engagements accordingly. The teacher does not guarantee makeup lessons for missed lessons. However, in the event of an emergency situation students will be invited to send a video of their pieces and the teacher will send video feedback before the start of the next lesson.
Teacher absence: When the teacher becomes ill they will let the parent know and try to reschedule the lesson. If the lesson cannot be rescheduled the lesson amount will be deducted from the following payment schedule’s invoice.
